1 – BODYWORK PRIMER
A Temporary anti-corrosion bodywork primer is applied to aid protection of body repairs following bare metal or chemical stripping of the body shell prior to weld in repairs and/or new body panels.
2 – EPOXY FILLER
A permeant anti-corrosion epoxy premier is applied following panel beating and preparation to give a solid, rust free base for paint finishes.
3 – BODY FILLING
Rebuilding of original body contour begins using elastic fibre aluminium blue light fillers – where the real work takes place!
4 – FINAL BODY CONTOURING
P-S Aluminium is used for the final body contouring prior to top coating, here the final fettling takes place; the bodywork must be exact prior to the next stage.
5 – ISOLATOR PRIMER
The use of an isolator primer solidifies the preparation coats before moving on to final priming coats and the application of colour.
6 – ACYLIC FILLER
Acylic filler is wet applied before the final top coat to the freshly restored vehicle, the acrylic allows the top coat to key to the surface below.
7 – SOLID TOP COAT
Surly anyones favourite part of a restoration or respray, the car begins to have character again after the application of the chosen top coat colour.
