Unfortunately our classics are continuously trying to return to their natural state – Iron Ore, paint is actually applied to protect the bare metal underneath (not only to look good).
At ARG we offer a full fabrication service to complement our restoration department, our workshop and preparation area are well equipped to deal with advanced corrosion, panel replacement and full body restorations.
Our Staffordshire Moorlands based fabrication and restoration workshop offers a multi-lane fabrication department and modern paint preparation dust extraction workshop, meaning your project is all managed in house, on time and on budget. ARG’s technicians fabricate, weld, restore and customise all makes and marques of classic cars to the highest of standards – we repair panels, fabricate custom panels or use genuine panel replacements (subject to availability).

Panel Replacements
By far the most cost effective and successful method of stopping corrosion in its tracks – Classic car panel replacements are often easily and cheaply sourced for most marques, offering cost savings over fabrication panels from bare sheet metal.
Removal & Fitting
Welding in panel replacements is only half of the process, knowing where to cut, identifying adjacent panels and cutting out corrosion is a skill in itself.
Our workshop techs throughly inspect chassis, body and panels before starting any new project and brace accordingly, how else do we get the panel gaps so good!?.
Custom Bodywork
Alongside treating corrosion we offer custom bodywork in the form of vehicle customisation – bodykits more often than not bolt on, however for stretch arches, bubble flairs or track cars our welding experience is imperative.
